Meet Your Physical Therapist | Rachel King, PT, DPT, CSCS
“I want patients to not just recover—but to rise above limitations, move stronger, and discover they are capable of more than they ever imagined.”
Hi, I’m Dr. Rachel King. It’s nice to meet you!
I’ve been a Doctor of Physical Therapy for over 11 years and hold a certification in Strength and Conditioning. Throughout my career in outpatient orthopedics, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals recovering from injury, surgery, and movement limitations—helping them regain strength, mobility, and confidence so they can return to the activities they love.
Why I Created Elevate Physical Therapy
Over the years, I began to recognize a common challenge within traditional clinic settings: insurance restrictions, high patient volumes, and limited treatment time can make it difficult for patients to receive the level of individualized care they deserve.
While many clinics work hard to support their patients, the structure of the system often limits how much time and attention can be dedicated to each person.
I found myself wanting to spend more time truly understanding my patients—their goals, their movement patterns, and what they hoped to return to in their daily lives. I wanted to create a space where care is personalized, empowering and transformative. That desire to provide more thoughtful, personalized care ultimately inspired me to create Elevate Physical Therapy.
Personalized Care Designed for You
At Elevate, every session is one-on-one and fully focused on you. Your treatment plan combines hands-on care, movement analysis, and progressive strengthening to support your recovery and help you move with confidence.
Because no two people—or injuries—are exactly the same, every program is tailored to your needs and goals. Whether you’re working toward reaching overhead comfortably, lifting without pain, returning to running, hiking in the Pacific Northwest, gardening again, or confidently exploring places like the Amalfi Coast, we’ll work together to help you get there.
My goal isn’t simply to treat an injury—it’s to help you move better, feel stronger, and realize that you’re capable of more than you may have thought.
Let’s elevate your movement and get you back to doing what you love.

I love bringing creativity into both my personal and professional life. Outside of work, you’ll find me handcrafting unique driftwood home décor, decorating for the holidays, managing my cats’ Instagram pages or creating diverse indoor and outdoor exercise programs—from yoga at Chambers Bay to high-intensity blended strength and cardio sessions. Many of these programs are inspired by my own passions as well as current or past patient cases, helping me design something truly unique for each individual.
Working with motivated individuals to regain their active lifestyle is the most rewarding part of my job. Whether returning to tennis, running, hiking, gardening, or walking along the beach, I love helping people move better, feel stronger, and realize they’re capable of more than they imagined.
A few fun facts about me: I’m a proud WSU alum—Go Cougs! I love traveling, animals, hiking, gardening, taking beautiful photos and walking/running at Chambers Bay. My floofy 14-year-old gray cat, Nimbus (“Cumulonimbus”), inspired the name and philosophy behind Elevate Physical Therapy.
